Agency principle, Jeffrey J. Baker, CLU, has been in the insurance business for over 35 years. Jeff earned his degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Jeff's commitment to insurance education continued as he earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Jeff has taught business courses in the past and is recognized in the business community as a true professional. He has worked with businesses of all sizes--helping them solve their insurance needs.
Outside of the office, Jeff is an active member of the Big/Brothers/Big Sisters of America---serving as a board member, and past president. He is a member of the Niagara County Chamber of Commerce and has served as past Vice President. Jeff has also been involved over the years in youth sports, as a coach, and past president of the sports booster club in Lockport, NY. He lives in Lockport where he and his wife Diane, raised four sons.
Agency principal, William J. Bixler, has been in the insurance business for over 30 years. Bill attended Niagara County Community College and is currently pursuing his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation.
Bill has acquired extensive knowledge working with small business and municipalities, which allows him the background necessary to provide proper coverage for each individual client.
When not in the office, Bill is very active in the Medina Community. He is a long-term member and past president of the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce, a 23-year member of the Medina Rotary Club holding the office of president twice and is currently the youth exchange program chairperson. Bill has also been host father to fifteen international exchange students.
Mike Walker has 30 years experience in the property & casualty business with experience on accounts ranging from 1 man operations to fortune 500 companies. He is an avid golfer and lives in Greece NY with wife Joy.
Donna Bushover has been a producer for Seaway Insurance for 16 years. Equipped with over 20 years experience, Donna aims to provide quality service and appropriate coverages for the best price possible. She helps insureds understand how they are covered and is there for them if they have questions or concerns. Donna is involved in her community as co-chair of the Medina Cruise In and Music by the canal. She is also United Way Board member, a member of the League of Women Voters, past President of the Medina Lions Club, and past Board Member of the American Red Cross.
Karen Schubauer has 18 years experience in insurance and has been with Seaway for 10 years. She has been managing the agencies commercial accounts for the past five years. She has a personable approach in helping reduce risk for businesses and provides knowledgeable insurance solutions. She is a native of Gasport, NY and enjoys spending time with her 3 children & grandchild.
Ruth Ferree-Bowman joined Seaway Insurance in 1986. She brought many years of experience with her and has since filled a variety of roles within the agency. She currently assists in handling commercial lines accounts. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys being with her family, and is very active in her church and various community events.
Jayne Cassick has been a Personal Lines CSR with Seaway Insurance for 12 years. She has a personal and knowledgeable approach, and is therefore able to establish long term relationships with the clients she serves.
Jill Walker is a personal line CSR with Seaway Insurance. Since 2001, Jill has been helping clients by providing insurance guidance and offering competitive pricing for all their insurance needs.
Kelly Whitehead is a CSR in Personal lines insurance and joined our agency in August of 2011. She has been working in insurance for the past 6 years and recently passed her State Exam and is now a licensed Insurance Broker. Kelly has lived in Gasport for 17 years and has two daughters who attend Royalton Hartland School. She enjoys community involvement in her Church, Girl Scouts and School functions.
Nicole joined Seaway in 1994. She started as a Personal Lines & Commercial Lines CSR. She later transitioned to bookkeeping & back office support and enjoys her "behind-the-scenes" position. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys working out, cooking, socializing & being with her family.
Kristina Nagel has been the receptionist for Seaway Insurance since 2003. She efficiently manages communications for existing and prospective clients, and provides knowledgeable billing assistance for them as well. Kristina is married and a mother of two children. She and her husband enjoy getting involved in their community.
